Man of La Mancha Review Criteria:

Our focus as we evaluate your application, essay, and interview is your passion and commitment in fulfilling your dream. Have you overcome adversity or lack of support? We want to see personal motivation and convictions, demonstrated leadership potential and genuine interest in expanding your horizons. As graduating seniors or students preparing to leave the San Miguel Watershed and entering technical, college, university or professional schools, we would like to understand how you will carve your path in an ambiguous new environment. We want to understand your willingness to “suspend disbelief” and to demonstrate that you are reaching for the stars.

Outstanding scholarship achievement is important and this may be evident in a dramatically improved GPA, exceptional AP area of study, or outstanding test scores. Finally, social responsibility, community involvement, and a respect for philanthropy or giving back should be evidenced in your application.

Man of La Mancha Follow-Up:

Man of La Mancha college scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum specified GPA verified by an official transcript during the course of funding.
